Delivery

We make every effort to deliver goods within the estimated timescales agreed upon before order placement; however, delays are occasionally inevitable due to unforeseen factors. We shall be under no liability for any delay or failure to deliver the products within the estimated timescales where they did not occur due to our fault or negligence. Afreximbank will not finance any business or activity involving the following1:
1. Production or trade in any product deemed illegal under the member states laws or regulations or international conventions and agreements.
2. Production of or trade in weapons and ammunitions.
3. Trade in wildlife or wildlife products regulated under CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora).
4. Production or use of or trade in hazardous materials such as radioactive materials2.
5. Production or use of or trade in unbounded asbestos fibers, products containing PCBs (Polychlorinated biphenyls) and chemicals subject to international phaseouts or bans.
6. Production of or trade in pharmaceuticals, pesticides, herbicides subject to international phase-outs or bans.
7. Production of or trade in ozone depleting substances subject to international phase out3.
8. Drift net fishing in the marine environment using nets in excess of 2.5km length.
9. Production or activities involving forced labour or child labour.
10. Psychotropic drugs or narcotics.
11. Pornographic and obscene materials.
12. Production or trade in alcoholic beverages (excluding beer and wine).
13. Gambling, casino, and equivalent enterprises.
14. Production or activities that impinge on the lands owned, or claimed under adjudication, by Indigenous Peoples, without full documented contest of such people.
1. For the purpose of this policy, Afreximbank will be guided by the IFC exclusion list.
2. This does not apply to purchase of Medical equipment, quality control (measurement) equipment where the Bank considers the radioactive source to be trivial and / or adequately shielded.
