Who is ATEX for?
The ATEX (African Trade Exchange) marketplace has been created for African importers and exporters to trade in a trusted environment.
Can I sign up to ATEX even if I don't have a company?
Currently ATEX is designed for companies already operating in cross border trade to find a partner.
Does ATEX offer trade finance to it's members?
ATEX does not offer financing itself, but it's partners including Afrexim Bank can support users based on their internal process.
What information do you need to become a member?
Members share their company information and company register, and several other KYC documents. This allows ATEX to most valuable to members who are fully verified for both buyers and sellers; creating a trusting ecosystem.
Why do I need to share my company information to sign up?
The ATEX's goal is to create an ecosystem of verified stakeholders who can work together. By qualifying members before they join the platform it means that each stakeholder can trade and interact with confidence.
What is Atex
Africa Trade Exchange (ATEX) is a B2B and B2G platform to enable procurement in bulk of basic commodities to ensure countries’ access scarce supplies in a transparent manner. The goal of ATEX is to help small, medium, and large African businesses tap into new markets in Africa and thereby facilitate optimization of their supply-chains for accelerated economic growth.

About Atex
ATEX is a digital trade platform connected within the digital ecosystem, supporting the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) agreement. ATEX will help realize the development potential of e-commerce and digitalisation, particularly by facilitating access for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) into new markets. This will enhance intra-African trade and the African trade position in the global market, thus assisting African businesses optimizing their supply chains and their continued growth. ATEX is connected within the wider digital ecosystem supporting the implementation of the AfCFTA.
