Cashew Kernel:The kidney shaped kernel of the fruit of the cashew which is extracted when the nut is shelled. When processed it comes in grades like WW240,WW320,WW180 .
It is edible when roasted and It is used in food processing and confectionery,food dressing,flavour, additives, as snacks etc.
Cashew Kernel Oil (CKO):An edible oil derived from crushed and pressed shelled cashew kernels.The oil contains abundant vitamins A,D & E.It is also rich in protein and fatty acids.It is considered a healthier oil than most other oils. It is used for cooking and production of cosmetics.
Cashew Nut Shell Liquid(CNSL):This is derived from Cashew Nut Shells (CNS) which is a viscous and caustic substance. CNSL has a similar quality and heat content as the Light Fuel Oil (LFO).Both the CNSL and CNS are used as biomass fuels for clean power generation.
There is growing demand for this CNSL due to its other multiple uses (including: for paints, laminating resins and intermediates for the chemical industry)
Food Ingredients: Roasted/Salted cashew nuts can be taken as a snack, it can further be spiced to make it more tasty for people who likes spicy food.
